Changing Seasons,
Unchanging Excellence

In a world that constantly shifts, Patek Philippe’s
calendar complications serve as intimate
witnesses and steadfast guardians of time.

Calendar watches are more than just functional timepieces – they connect us to the rhythms of time and the renewal of seasons while embodying the artistry of mechanical watchmaking.

Few brands have mastered this craft as thoroughly as Patek Philippe. As the maker of the world’s first perpetual calendar wristwatch and the inventor of the annual calendar, its expertise runs so deep that it can service and maintain
every timepiece it has produced since 1839. As your aspirations evolve through life’s chapters, let these enduring heirlooms accompany you – and those who will follow – on your journey.

In-Line Perpetual Calendar

REF. 5236P-010

Patek Philippe has been steadily innovating on one of horology’s most viciously complex complications, and in 2021, released yet another world-first: An in-line perpetual calendar wristwatch. Boasting three patents, 503 components, and a remarkably slim profile of just 5.3mm, the self-winding calibre 31-260 PS QL was able to display the day, date, and month in a single horizontal aperture, and have all of them jump simultaneously.

While the first edition was released with a gradient blue dial, the follow-up 5236P-010 from last year shows up with an “opaline rose- gilt” face instead, with a 41.3mm by 11.5mm platinum case and contrasting black coated white gold hands and baton-hour markers.

Calatrava Weekly Calendar

REF. 5212A-001

The Patek Philippe 5212A-001 is, by any measure, one of the most visually interesting calendar watches in fine watchmaking. The silvery opaline dial provides a clean and elegant backdrop for its weekly calendar display. Starting with the innermost ring, we have the day of the week, followed by a ring for the week number (up to 53 weeks), and at the periphery of the dial is the months — cleverly indicated by the same hand that points to the weeks.

Adding to its aesthetic charm is a font reminiscent of handwritten characters. The 40mm by 10.79mm steel case houses the automatic Caliber 26-330 S C J SE with 45 hours of power reserve.

It takes technical ingenuity to mix and match complications in a way that doesn’t result in an overly confusing dial. And here, in the 5236G-001, Patek Philippe has flawlessly executed the combination of two of its signature complications – the annual calendar and travel time – for a wristwatch that blends utility and style.

Thanks to the Caliber 31-260 PS QA LU FUS 24H (which boasts eight patents), frequent travellers can easily synchronise the calendar with local time. The charcoal grey grained dial, paired with a hobnail-patterned case band, makes this a masterclass in discreet sophistication and horological innovation.

Regulator Style Display

REF. 5235/50R-001

The need for regulator-style displays – once essential for precision timekeeping in workshops and factories – may have waned in the modern era, but their distinctive aesthetics and historical significance continue to make them highly coveted by collectors. The rarity of such displays in Patek Philippe’s repertoire only adds to the appeal of the 5235-50R-001, making it one of the brand’s most sought-after models.

Housed in a 40.5mm 18k rose gold case, its striking two-tone dial – featuring a satin-finished graphite centre and an ebony black outer ring – exudes refined sophistication, ensuring it is as at home in everyday wear as it is on the most distinguished of occasions.
