In-Line Perpetual Calendar
REF. 5236P-010
Patek Philippe has been steadily innovating on one of horology’s most viciously complex complications, and in 2021, released yet another world-first: An in-line perpetual calendar wristwatch. Boasting three patents, 503 components, and a remarkably slim profile of just 5.3mm, the self-winding calibre 31-260 PS QL was able to display the day, date, and month in a single horizontal aperture, and have all of them jump simultaneously.
While the first edition was released with a gradient blue dial, the follow-up 5236P-010 from last year shows up with an “opaline rose- gilt” face instead, with a 41.3mm by 11.5mm platinum case and contrasting black coated white gold hands and baton-hour markers.
