Shangri-La Hotel curates two unique flavors for their bite-sized snowskin mooncakes this year, one of which takes on a local palette. The hotel debuts a kaya and white chocolate snowskin rendition, where the coconut spread which is none other than the in-house creation. The filling is surrounded with a white lotus paste filling, and wrapped in snowskin dyed in a complementing shade of leaf green. The accompanying new flavor comes in yuzu with sake, and these versions are boxed in baby blue patterned tins.

The spherical pastry is also symbolic of the festival’s full harvest moon, representing family unity and completeness.
