Speaking about the brand's first foray into Singapore, Soichi Oda, Executive Officer and Head-ASEAN at Nitori Holdings Co. Ltd, says, "Nitori has been committed to enriching the homes of people all over the world over the last 55 years. With over 20 active years working with manufacturers in Southeast Asia, we are very excited to finally be expanding our retail footprint into the region. Our central location at COURTS Nojima The Heeren in Singapore is strategic and in line with our aim of enabling Singaporeans from all walks of life to freely design their homes with comfort and fun in mind."
Famed Japanese furniture and lifestyle brand Nitori is set to open its first showroom concept store in Singapore on 31 March 2022 at COURTS Nojima The Heeren along Orchard Road. The 31,630 square foot store takes on the entire fourth floor, boasting an impressive selection of furniture, bedding, kitchen goods, and more under five main themes — Simple, Natural, Vintage, Feminine, and Japanese Modern.
The furniture at Nitori is specifically designed for Asian homes and are slightly smaller and compact compared to most furniture available in the market, which is a perfect fit for Singaporeans living in flats and apartments.
With a distinct Japanese aesthetic bringing each piece together harmoniously, supported by modular capabilities and the signature N-Click assembly, Nitori is sure to appeal to young homeowners who are working with limited space.
Beyond furniture, Nitori is also known for its innovative approach to comfort and convenience, which can be seen in its Nitori Original N-Cool Technology bedding products. Ranging from comforters, pillow pads, fitted sheets, and pillowcases, the one-of-a-kind fabric can help reduce body temperatures and is antibacterial with deodorizing treatment, as well as water-absorbent and quick-drying.
Other Nitori must-haves include the very absorbent Diatomite Bath Mat, which is available in two sizes. Meanwhile, the kitchen section boasts a range of multi-purpose pots and pans, stylish ceramics and utensils for daily use, containers and organizers, and even a chopping board made of Hinoki wood.
The Orchard Road store is just the beginning. In a press statement, Nitori shares that it is on track to "enrich homes around the world" and is set to open 10 stores in Singapore over the next five years.
