The Omega Speedmaster Pilot, originally crafted exclusively for US military pilots, has now taken flight for civilians – this time with fresh pops of colour on the dial. The 40.85mm brushed stainless steel case, measuring 14.7mm thick, features the signature straight lugs of the classic Speedmaster. Paying homage to its military roots, the bezel includes “Dot Over Ninety” and “Diagonal to Seventy” markings. Additional design touches nod to aviation instruments, with subdials at 3 and 9 o’clock resembling a “burn rate” indicator and an artificial horizon, respectively.

TAG HEUER FORMULA 1 CHRONOGRAPH X ORACLE RED BULL RACING

TAG Heuer’s racing heritage takes pole position this year as it returns as the Official Timekeeper of Formula 1 2025. One of its latest releases commemorates the Oracle Red Bull Racing team’s 20th anniversary with a new Formula 1 Chronograph in the team’s colours. The dark blue grainy dial, asphalt-like textured rubber strap and black DLC steel case amps up the high-octane aesthetic. This quartz-powered edition is limited to 3,000 pieces.

LONGINES ULTRA-CHRON CARBON

Longines is ringing in the new year with its very first carbon case, introduced in January, in its cushion-shaped Ultra-Chron series. Forged carbon is not only incredibly lightweight, but the carbon fibres also offer a subtle pattern that is unique to every watch. Enhancing its lightness is a titanium bezel with an aluminium insert, bringing the total weight of the watch – including the strap – to just 80g, a stark contrast to its steel counterparts at 172g. A screw-down crown and case back provide an impressive 300m of water resistance.

The opaline blue-grey dial and matching integrated strap makes this one of the more subdued versions of Patek Philippe’s sportiest line, but the Aquanaut’s robust design still gives this steel travel watch a commanding presence on the wrist, wherever you go. Powered by the calibre 26-330 S C FUS, it also prioritises convenience, featuring a second time zone display that can be easily adjusted via pushers, allowing the local hour hand to shift in one-hour increments without compromising accuracy.

The racing chronograph received an update in 2023 with a new 40.5mm size in Chopard’s Lucent Steel, along with fresh colours like the “Rosso Amarena” (cherry red) dial, making it a perfect fit for both Lunar New Year and Valentine’s Day. What remains unchanged are the knurled pushers, crown, and box-shaped sapphire crystal, elements that lend the collection its distinctive vintage charm.
