Sanlorenzo introduces three new models in each of its signature ranges – the SX112, SD118, and SL120A. This trio forms the new collective flagship, yet each model is distinctly defined in their overall design and layout.

The new SX112 is deemed the flagship of the SX crossover line, and the symmetrical and open design it has adopted was based on the SX88, albeit now with more room to engage with the ocean.
Here’s what we love – that ridiculously wide open stern. It’s without a doubt that the space was made just to admire the horizon, to be enjoyed in solitude or with some company in tow. This vision was executed by the harmonious work between two designers, Bernadi Zuccon of Studio Zuccon International Project, and Piero Lissoni.
The new stern zone has Studio Zuccon to thank, whose focus on the project was centered on the external design. The open platform is quite poetically an invitation to sea, where barriers are technically non-existent.
The view from the cockpit is therefore unobstructed, which also creates seamless access to and from the sheltered beach.
The interior is taken care of by Lissoni & Partners. Structures like the staircases and the wheelhouse placed on the flying bridge, maximizes the space to create a single continuous space for the living and dining areas. The connecting outdoor lounges share the same unparalleled view, where one can enjoy from the cockpit, or from the upper deck which houses a well-furnished saloon.

SD118
The new SD118 comes a little larger than its averagely-sized predecessors at a length of 35.75 meters. Designed by Studio Zuccoon, the team has taken advantage of the yacht’s wide-body hull and focuses on the wide use of space that’s created in both the indoor and outdoor areas.
The bow outdoor living area is organized on both the upper deck and the forward deck, allowing the connected level to form a large open-air area to lounge in. This also provides direct yet discreet access to the owner’s cabin via a sliding hatch that’s concealed below the staircase, guaranteeing total privacy.
While the more streamlined asymmetrical design is usually applied to the SL range, Studio Zuccoon has chosen to approach the new SD118 with the same imagery. This gives the new yacht greater space on the upper deck, which in turn allows for more flexibility of use while providing a direct view of the sea from both sides.
And for a more physical interaction? The new stern zone provides just that, with a wider platform perfect for sunbathing or diving right into the waters.

SL120A
This roundup saves the best for last, and the new SL120Asymmetric stands out as the new flagship of Sanlorenzo’s asymmetric line. The design concept in this range is a collective effort that includes reputable automobile designer Chris Bangle and Studio Zuccon, the latter whom we know by now takes credit for majority of Sanlorenzo’s yacht builds.
At 36.92 meters, the SL120A is slated to make its debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival later in September this year. As it name implies, the asymmetrical concept is precedent in the main deck, which is largely occupied by the living area.
While having a more balanced – an equal amount of space per se – is usually more comforting to some, the division of the dining and living areas here takes advantage of placements such as furnishing and connecting structures.
The living area dominates the port side where most of the natural light and fresh air is accessed via sliding glass doors that open up to the balcony. The port side is also where the side deck is placed, connecting all the accesses through staircases that lead all the way to the bow.
It’s here where all the outdoor lounging takes place. At 15 sqm, the area is outfitted for sunbathing at the foredeck, while the upper deck can either be transformed into a second sundeck or an area for outdoor dining. If one would like to take the lounging up a notch, the sheltered lounge at the deckhouse can be fitted with a hot tub instead.
There’s also nothing short of the stern to admire, with folding terraces that extend up to a total of 45 square meters of space. From the top deck all the way to the bottom, it’s a personal beach club waiting to happen.
