After a two year-long renovation, the luxurious colonial-style Raffles Hotel is ready to take in guests once again.

More than two years after restoration works first began, our nation’s most iconic hotel, the Raffles Hotel Singapore, is now officially reopen (Aug 1) and just in time for National Day.

Great care has been taken to properly refurbish and renew the all-suite property, first opened in 1887, as the national monument holds great historical and cultural significance.

The grandeur of its colonial-style heritage is very much preserved, but the addition of modern touches were the result of a team effort between New York-based interior designer Alexandra Champalimaud and architecture and design firm, Aedas.

The hotel now offers nine different suites, with the inclusion of three new types – Residence, Promenade, and Studio. This brings the total suite count up to a total of 115.
