Bedrock Bar & Grill's World Meat Series Returns

Bedrock Bar & Grill, a hot favorite among Singapore's discerning steak lovers, proudly presents the World Meat Series from now until 31 March 2021. Launched in 2017, this dining experience highlights dishes made from premium meats from around the world, with Yamaguchi, Japan taking center stage this time around.

Enjoy three indulgent dishes created by Executive Chef Isaac Tan, which include the Bone Marrow Tartare, comprised of hand-chopped ribeye cap on top of roasted bone marrow and finished with mountain caviar, or "Tonburi", which are glossy, greenish-black seeds of the bassia scoparia herb that resembles prized sturgeon roe.

Meanwhile, the Applewood Smoked Wagyu Tataki is a beautiful marriage of meat and produce, where lightly charred aged ribeye cap is complemented with pickled radish, pumpkin strips, and grated hard-boiled egg. Finally, the Woodfire Grilled Fullblood Aged Wagyu Striploin is a tender, umami-rich treat that's accompanied by sansho pepper sauce and Yukon Gold potatoes in beef fat.

Dempsey Hill Welcomes MOONBOW

The best of European and Asian cuisine come together at MOONBOW, the latest addition to the Dempsey Hill enclave of exciting F&B concepts. Founded by co-owners Dylan Soh and Chef Heman Tan, MOONBOW is a picturesque space that's named after a lunar rainbow, which is a rare, natural phenomena.

To start, try the Garden of Escargot with micro greens, truffle gelato, lychee pearl, mushroom oil, and mashed edamame or Moonbow Oyster Bay, featuring Fine de Claire oysters with oyster leaves, yuzu gel and granita, and cucumber pearl.

For heartier dishes, the Black Berry 4-Grain Healthy Rice is incredibly moreish with a mix of rice grains, olive leaves, lup cheong sausage, and roasted pork jowl (Impossible meat patties available as an alternative). For a new take on a traditional Chinese ingredient, the Black Silkie Poulet features a char grilled Black Silkie Chicken leg served with garlicky crumbs, béarnaise sauce, wolfberry mash, black garlic puree, and heirloom tomatoes.

Luke's Lobster Heads East

Easties rejoice as Luke's Lobster's second home is at Jewel Changi Airport. Located at the ground floor atrium, the open concept shack is slightly bigger than the Isetan branch with a total of 24 seats.

Favorites like the Lobster, Crab, and Shrimp rolls, as well as the Lobster Bisque and Clam Chowder are all available here, with the addition of the Truffle Butter Lobster Roll. This indulgent sandwich is available until the end of March, so try it while you can — four ounces of juicy Maine lobster claw and knuckle meat are bathed in melted butter infused with Italian black truffles.

What's more, every purchase of the Truffle Butter Lobster Roll allows you to enjoy a pint of craft beer for $8. Available beers include Little Creatures IPA, Little Creatures Dog Days, and Hoegaarden.

Durian Fiesta at Goodwood Park

Celebrate 38 years of decadent durian treats at Goodwood Park Hotel from 8 March to 1 August. The annual Durian Fiesta is back once more, bringing with it a handful of irresistible confections, some of which are inspired by Singapore snacks and flavors, like the D24 Pandan Waffle Cake and D24 Kueh Dadar.

For something that satisfies both the eyes and palate, opt for the D24 & Sweet Potato in Chestnut Tartlets and the D24 Trio Chocolate Cake. The former, which is a pretty purple confection, enjoys a balanced mix of sweet potato and durian in a pastry style that calls to mind the classic Mont Blanc. Meanwhile, the latter showcases seven decadent layers of dark, milk, and white chocolate mousse, D24 durian mousse, chocolate sponge, and a crunchy base of hazelnut feuilletine.

Our personal favorite would be the Deep-Fried D24 in Layered Flaky Pastry, which is exclusively available as a dine-in option for guests at Min Jiang. Here, the crisp pastry lends a slight savory flavor to the sweet D24 durian pulp encased within, making it the perfect treat to end a meal.

Durian Fiesta treats are available for online orders here (except for the Deep-Fried D24 in Layered Flaky Pastry, which is only available for dine-in at Min Jiang)
