Humpback at Bukit Pasoh reopens after a two-month-long renovation, boasting modern, minimalist interiors, serving as a counterpoint to its ornate 1930s shophouse exterior. Seafood takes center stage at this popular watering hole, where the dining experience typically starts with an assortment of fresh oysters. Follow the briny bites with small plates packed with big flavors, such as the House-cured Hamachi Pastrami, Mussel Toast with Spicy Nduja, and Ricotta Cavatelli with Swordfish Bacon and Chitose Corn. Don’t miss the signature dessert too, which is Castella Cake, perfectly toasted to achieve a crisp and fluffy texture, and served with Crème Fraîche Ice Cream and Soy Caramel.

Eden Restaurant at the recently opened Pullman Singapore Orchard celebrates Asian flavors, complemented by a lush greenhouse setting thanks to its glass ceilings and vertical landscaping. The menu offerings here are given the East and Southeast Asian treatment through a variety of preparation methods, as well as the use of different spices and herbs. The Tuna Ceviche with Ikura juxtaposes the freshness of Japanese ingredients with the punchy flavors of northeast Thailand. Meanwhile, the Szechuan T-Bone Steak is marinated in a blend of Szechuan spices, lending it smokiness, heat, and sweet and savory notes. The Grilled Coriander & Garlic Chicken may seem simple, but surprises with its perfect juiciness and moreish flavors.

After celebrating a year since opening, a new dinner format and menu awaits guests at Path. Opt for either the Voyage (six-courses at $188++) or Expedition (eight-courses at $228++) menu, which showcases the evolution of the restaurant as it explores new frontiers. New standout dishes include the Shanghainese Hairy Crab Roe (which is served with silky beancurd, chili oil, and a small crusty baguette for scooping it all up), the deeply savory and textural Pork Trotter “Crepinette”, and the BBQ South African Abalone served in its shell with risoni, chicken jus, and grapes. Fully immerse yourself in the Path experience and opt for the wine pairing ($88++ for a flight of three and $128++ for a flight of eight), which was created in partnership with the expertise of sister company, 1855 The Bottle Shop.

Fresh Flavors of Spring at Fiamma

Fiamma at Capella Singapore recently launched a new spring menu with dishes inspired by the season’s freshest bounties. A medley of sweet, crisp vegetables are highlighted in flavorful antipasti, such as the Burrata Primavera with fava beans and peas and the Asparagi Verdi Alla Griglia – lightly grilled asparagus dressed with arugula pesto and olive oil. For more filling options, favorites include the Tortellini Panna Prosciutto e Tartufo with creamy truffle sauce, peas, and seasonal greens and the Calzone Napoletano that’s generously filled with sausage, eggplants, Provolone del Monaco cheese and tomato sauce. Finish with refreshing handcrafted desserts, such as the Delizia al Limone with lemon cream, ice cream, and yoghurt espuma and Lemongrass Maritozzo, which is a fragrant lemongrass cream-filled bun.
