Montblanc Star Legacy Nicolas Rieussec Chronograph 43mm – Limited Edition

One of the earliest inventions of the chronographs was by a watchmaker Nicolas Rieussec, then the sixth royal watchmaker to the King of France. He was testing a timekeeper designed to record the precise times of the racehorses’ speeds at Paris’ famous Champs-de-Mars horse racing track, and the very invention found its way into the first Montblanc Star Legacy Nicolas Rieussec Collection in 2007.

Over the years, the Nicolas Rieussec Chronograph has been reiterated in different styles and materials, and once again receives two new contemporary looks this year. One in stainless steel, and the other in DLC-coated stainless steel (limited to 500 pieces), both watches adopt a new case size in 43mm (the previous size was 44.8mm) and runs on the self-winding monopusher chronograph movement MB R200, which was the very first in-house movement by the maison. A mention of the “Academy of Sciences, Paris” is engraved on the flange, as a reminder that the academy validated Rieussec’s invention in 1821. The name “Chronographe Nicolas Rieussec” is also engraved at 12 o’clock.

TAG Heuer Connected Calibre E4 - Porsche Edition

TAG Heuer and Porsche launched the TAG Heuer Connected Calibre E4 –  Porsche Edition, a luxury connected timepiece inspired by the design of the iconic all-electric Porsche Taycan collection. Presented in the fourth generation of the Connected Watch are exclusive Wear OS features for Porsche owners where information from their car is displayed directly on the watch face. This includes car battery percentage and total mileage, where compatible models include the Panamera (G2 II models from 2022 onwards), Panamera (G2), 911 (992 models from 2022 onwards), 911, Cayenne (E3 models from 2022 onwards), Cayenne (E2 II), 718, Macan II/III, Macan, and Taycan.

Both the physical watch and the software have design features in the same shade of frozen blue used in the iconic electric blue Taycan, and specially used in the exclusive watch face, ‘Circuit’, only available to owners of the watch. The accent lends a subtle contrast to the case’s sandblasted black titanium, where the material provides the watch a light and sporty feel. The black ceramic polished bezel has a dedicated scale going from zero to 400, referencing the Porsche car’s speed, while on the caseback bears the engraving ‘TAG Heuer x Porsche’.

Panerai Luminor Luna Rossa

To coincide with the beginning of the race for the next America’s Cup, which takes place in Barcelona in 2024, long-time partners Panerai and Team Luna Rossa debuted the Luminor Luna Rossa with a new look. Taking cues from Luna Rossa’s sailing technology, the new Luminor Luna Rossa (PAM01342) sports white, gray and red colors, offering a modern interpretation of nautical style.

Produced in a special edition of 1,500 pieces, the timepiece carries a 44mm steel case that frames the matte white dial. It adopts muted, gray-painted Super-LumiNovaTM hour markers and hands, save for the small seconds hand that’s in a contrasting red. The Luminor Luna Rossa runs on the manually wound P.6000 caliber that provides a three-day power reserve. The watch includes two straps: A gray bi-material option with a red stripe that features the team’s logo, and a second in black rubber, along with a pin buckle in steel.
