Hublot's gold masterpiece wins first prize in the "Best of the Best" category at the Red Dot Awards

Congratulations are in order for Hublot's Big Bang Meca-10 Magic Gold watch, which won the coveted first prize in the "Best of the Best 2017" category at the recent Red Dot Awards. The win was no easy feat, especially when over 5,500 creations from 54 countires were scrutinized by a jury comprised of 40 professors, journalists, and independent designers.

But at the end of the day, the timepiece shone brightest, with the seamless juxtaposition of retro and futuristic design elements, underscored by a stunning display of technical know-how through exposed plates, gears, and wheels. The innovative Magic Gold material used in the timepiece also made quite the impression, which fuses gold with an alloy of ceramics, making it the only truly scratch proof 18-carat gold.

The "Best of the Best 2017" prize is an acknowledgement of the impressive work that went into the development of the Big Bang Meca-10 Magic Gold watch, highlighting the best of what Hublot has to offer with regards to watchmaking techniques that expertly delivers on both aesthetics and innovation.
