Pan Pacific Singapore’s General Manager, Melvin Lim, unveils the curtain on the hotel’s F1 thrills and festive delights awaiting visitors and guests.

Melvin Lim, the General Manager of Pan Pacific Singapore, has been leading the hotel towards new heights, focusing on its core strengths in meetings, events, and F&B offerings. Lim, who is deeply involved in the day-to-day operations, highlights the hotel’s versatility and dedication to service.

"Our hotel is a prime destination for both business and leisure travelers," Lim shares. "We have over 2,300 square meters of versatile meeting space across 25 distinct venues. This makes us a preferred choice for a wide range of gatherings, whether corporate events or social occasions."

When it comes to dining, Pan Pacific Singapore offers an impressive array of options. "With seven outlets catering to various culinary preferences, from the Cantonese delicacies at Hai Tien Lo to the authentic Japanese experience at Keyaki, we aim to provide a culinary journey that appeals to both local and international palates."

With the F1 period just around the corner, the hotel is gearing up to offer a thrilling experience for guests. "This year, we’re especially excited about our involvement in the Sky Suites at Turn 1," says Lim. "We’ll be catering to more than 6,000 meals over the course of the three-day event, with a team of over 120 staff members on-site to ensure everything runs smoothly."

For guests staying at the hotel, the F1 experience will be equally exciting. "We have some exclusive promotions for our in-house guests with track-facing rooms," Lim shares. "These rooms, like the Executive Marina Bay Room, offer the ultimate vantage point to soak in the thrill of the Singapore Night Race. It’s all about providing a memorable experience right in the heart of the action."

The hotel’s dining offerings during the F1 weekend are also set to impress. "We’re hosting a ‘Pit Stop Brunch’ at Edge, featuring everything from fresh seafood to live pasta stations," Lim adds. "Saturday’s brunch will include free-flowing Tattinger Brut Réserve Champagne, while Sunday’s will offer luxurious specials like pan-fried foie gras, paired with premium Champagne options."

Looking ahead to the festive season, Pan Pacific Singapore has a host of experiences planned. "The holidays are a special time at our hotel," Lim reflects. "Whether it’s indulging in the lavish spreads at Edge, enjoying authentic delights at Hai Tien Lo and Keyaki, or toasting the season with masterfully crafted cocktails at PLUME, we have something for everyone."

Lim also highlights the hotel’s unique wholesale and butchery department, which has expanded significantly since the hotel opened in 1986. "We started with just one smoker for our meats," he recalls. "Now, we operate with three smokers, supplying premium meats not only to our guests, but also to leading supermarkets, retailers, and hotels across the country."

As Pan Pacific Singapore prepares to ring in the New Year, the hotel will be offering a range of entertainment options, including festive parties and packages. "Our New Year’s Eve packages at the Pacific Club Lounge on level 38 are particularly popular," Lim notes. "Guests can enjoy an unparalleled view of the Marina Bay fireworks, making it the perfect way to celebrate the end of the year."

Looking ahead to 2025, Lim is optimistic about the hotel’s continued success. "Pan Pacific Singapore will continue to build on its rich heritage and prestigious reputation," he affirms. "We’re committed to maintaining our leadership as a business and MICE-focused property, while also ensuring that our culinary offerings remain top-notch."
