EDITION Hotels, known for its unexpected and refreshing collection of one-of-a-kind properties, has made its mark in some of the world’s most exciting cities like New York, London, Barcelona, Rome, Dubai, and Tokyo. It recently opened its doors in the little red dot with The Singapore EDITION, making it the first outpost in Southeast Asia and capitalizing on the city-state’s world-class culinary, entertainment, and entertainment offerings.
The brand, conceptualized by hotelier Ian Schrager and Marriott International, brings together the best of luxury lifestyle under one roof. As expected, the Singapore property delivers in spades.
According to Schrager, “It was a thrill for us to do a hotel in Singapore and come up with a project as sophisticated and beautiful as the city itself.” With Singapore’s reputation as a garden city, it's only natural that the hotel follows this by incorporating greenery throughout the hotel’s common areas, starting with the lush lobby that’s decorated with a variety of towering plants. Walk around and you’ll find yourself at more green spaces like the sky park or the sunken garden planted with a variety of tropical foliage.
To contrast with the greenery, spacious guestrooms (204 in total) at The Singapore EDITION are a vision of serenity and minimalism. White rugs atop white oak-planked floors set the scene, while thick drapes frame the expansive bay windows. Sink into a deep-seated sofa or the spacious bed for ultimate relaxation, or luxuriously pass the time in the bathroom that features a bathtub and spacious shower area, complete with Le Labo brand toiletries.
As for F&B offerings, Australian restaurateur and award-winning chef Josh Niland presents FYSH at EDITION – his first restaurant outside Australia that boasts a sustainable seafood-focused menu. Meanwhile, the Lobby Bar stuns with its tipples and floor to ceiling display, Punch Room beckons you in with its Yves Klein blue interiors and punch cocktail menu, and The Roof Bar brings together casual fare with a side of stunning neighborhood views.

ARTYZEN
Artyzen Hospitality Group, with hotels in Shanghai and Macau, recently opened the 142-key Artyzen Singapore on Cuscaden Road. The design-led hotel is ideally located at the crossroads of the embassy district, the Singapore Botanic Gardens, and Orchard Road, making it great base for well-travelled guests.
According to the hotel’s general manager, Jeff Crowe, “At Artyzen Singapore, we aspire to offer more than just warm, inviting hospitality. It’s about connecting the guest to the locality in a genuine way. Our aim is for each guest to feel cherished and at home whether they are locals on a staycation, or international visitors who seek out unique experiences.”
The hotel, conceived by renowned architecture firm ONG&ONG in collaboration with interior design studio Nic Graham & Associates, draws inspiration from Singapore’s tapestry of culture. An architectural narrative is then conveyed through verdant greenery across the property’s sky terraces and balconies, complemented by an outdoor spiral staircase that connects communal spaces, and a roof garden anchored by an infinity pool.
Guest rooms, measuring 42 to 448 square meters, are found between the 8th and 20th level, with each one featuring a balcony, as well as an assortment of materials like polished concrete, herringbone timber, stone, and brass. F&B outlets include Café Quenino, which offers breakfast in the morning and transforms into a cocktail bar at night, and Quenino by Victor Liong, specializing in a tasting menu that showcases contemporary Asian cuisine.

CONRAD SINGAPORE ORCHARD
Following months of reinvention and renovations, Conrad Singapore Orchard finally reopened its doors in early January. Today, the hotel’s 445 guest rooms blend refined residential living with botanical-inspired design – think muted tones in sand, cream, and green accented by signature palm motifs and potted tropical trees.
Gastronomy is also a hallmark at Conrad Singapore, which ensures plenty of choices when it comes to F&B experiences. Italian cuisine is celebrated at Basilico and Dolcetto, while the award-winning bar, Manhattan, will transport visitors to New York’s Golden Age of cocktails. Michelin-starred Summer Palace remains the go-to place for fine Cantonese cuisine, while the Tea Lounge is the perfect place for afternoon lounging.
In addition to the unveiling of refurbished rooms, Conrad Singapore Orchard now offers unique experiences to complement every visitor’s stay. Guests can opt for the immersive Edible Garden Walk, taking them from the hotel to the Singapore Botanical Gardens, which uncovers edible botanicals that defines the country’s landscape. For those who want to focus on self-improvement, they can go for The Morning Intention Session by the hotel pool, which brings together modern fitness and wellness classes.
“With the debut of Conrad Singapore Orchard Road as our second Conrad hotel in Singapore, visitors and locals have more options to explore the rich tapestry of the city in distinct ways, whilst enjoying our tailored approach to meaningful hospitality,” concludes Candice D’Cruz, Vice President of Luxury Brands, Asia Pacific, Hilton.
